Sueño Grande B&B is a boutique hotel where warm hospitality awaits you.

In this tranquil retreat, guests enjoy the refreshing pool, lush gardens, and relaxing common areas.

Featuring only three private suites to host a maximum of 6 guests we are the perfect oasis nestled right in the heart of Puerto Viejo.

This intimate 10 guest gem is nestled in the heart of Puerto Viejo and is just 2 blocks from the Caribbean Ocean.

Air Conditioning

All suites are air conditioned except our open air communal kitchen space which is well equipped with ceiling fans to keep the lounge and kitchen area cool.

Great WiFi

We have great fibre optic WiFi and each of our suites are equipped with work spaces. The kitchen area overlooking the pool can also be used as a work space.

Breakfasts

Seasonal breakfast featuring handmade pastries, jams, syrups, natural juices & delicious coffee or tea served daily.

Swimming Pool

Design elements are simple and tranquil to encourage a feeling of retreat from the outside world while you gaze out at the garden or float in the pool.

Adults Only

Featuring only three private suites. Maximum of 6 guests at a time. Children 12 years and up are welcome.

Meet the Owners

After our travels through Costa Rica we fell in love with the country, the people and the lifestyle. We especially fell in love with Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast during a language stay we partook in for several weeks in Puerto Viejo.

We decided almost instantly, this is where we want to live and work. We came across the beautiful Sueño Grande B&B which happened to be for sale. We really liked that it was a small place but also well built and comfortable.

After a conversation with Jody, the owner, our decision was made up - this was going to be our future. We had 8 months to pack up our life in Switzerland and to organize and move over to our new life in Costa Rica.

As of July 01, 2023 we are the proud owners and hosts of Sueño Grande. We look forward to welcoming you by providing a pleasant stay while you’re here visiting in Puerto Viejo.

Jody, Marianna und alle Volunteers sind total hiffsbereit, ich habe mich richtig zuhause gefühit und es genossen, nach 2 Wochen Rundreise auch mal Seiber ne Kleinigkeit zu machen, die kleine Küche ist mit allen ausgestattet, was man so braucht und man kann auch die grobe Outdoor Küche benutzen, wenn man will, Handtücher, Standmatten, Regenschirme, Moskitospray, sogar Sonnencreme wird gestellt. Der Pool war angenehm zum Abkühlen, Jody hat mit allem geholfen und jede Frage schnell per Whatsapp oder persönlich beantwortet und tolle Tipps gegeben.
